As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are reflecting on our journey as a leading wholesale supplier. Over the years, our evolution in products, design and photography has been truly remarkable. Join us as we take a trip down memory lane and explore how we’ve developed over the past quarter-century.

    Product Design

Digital technology began to shape our business in profound ways. We were the first B2B gift wholesaler to appear on search engines, and our ecommerce website made our products accessible to a global market. Our online presence has always been at the heart of our business, allowing customers to browse and purchase our products from the comfort of their homes.

    Our old product range

In the early days, our product range consisted of simplistic designs on oil burners, hanging signs, spiritual and alternative giftware. We primarily wholesaled our selection of giftware from other designers and importers, which allowed us to offer a diverse array of products and establish our presence in the market.

Our product range has expanded over the years with designs influenced by emerging trends and customer preferences. We introduced themed collections and seasonal gifts, and our offerings became more diverse to a broader audience.

Our old product collectionsOur new product collections

One of the most significant changes in our business over the past 25 years has been our shift towards in-house design. In previous years, our in-house designers would make minor design changes to products purchased “off the shelf”. However, the majority of our products are now designed from scratch. Since 2015, we proudly design over 80% of our own giftware, ensuring that our products are not only beautiful and functional but also unique to our brand. This transition has allowed us greater control over quality, innovation, and design, resulting in products that reflect our vision and meet the high standards our customers expect.

    Our product packaging

In 2021, we improved our product packaging with use of 100% recyclable cardboard and hex wrap to protect products in transit – click here to learn more about our sustainability efforts.

    Design to final products

We plan our product ranges 18 months in advance to ensure our products align with upcoming trends and meet consumer demand. Our commitment to quality and innovation ensures that our products remain at the forefront of the industry, continuously meeting the evolving needs and preferences of our customers.

    Photography

The last decade has seen our photography and content creation reach new heights. Digital photography was in its infancy at the time, with our products being typically staged in a studio on a white background.

    360 degree images and videos

Throughout the years, we have experimented with various forms of photography to showcase our products in the best way possible. Since 2015, our fantastic photographer, Rebecca, shoots a wide range of content from 360-degree images to video content, which are featured on our website and in our catalogues. Visit our YouTube channel to watch our range videos.

    Lifestyle image

Lifestyle photography has also become a significant aspect, showing our products in real-life settings to inspire and engage our customers. Our social media channels have become key channels for sharing our content, allowing us to connect with a wider audience and showcase our products in creative and engaging ways.
