At Something Different Wholesale we support a wide variety of charities around the world. We are proud to support social projects in the communities of our suppliers as well as contributing to established charities in the UK and abroad.
Ban Rom Sai
Ban Rom Sai is an orphanage based in Chiang Mai, Thailand which provides a home for 30 children under 18 years old.
Established in 1999, the orphanage offers a safe haven for local children who have either contracted HIV from their parents or lost their parents to AIDS.
The 30 children who are resident have already experienced an unprecedented amount of difficulty in their short lives, dealing with the reality of death of a parent and often finding themselves ostracised from their communities due to their illness and circumstances.
Ban Rom Sai which means ‘a house under the Banyan Tree’ in Thai, provides a safe, family environment for these children to develop in with access to education, care, opportunities and access to the anti-viral drugs and treatment necessary for their survival.

Kupu Kupu Foundation
The Kupu-Kupu Foundation works to improve the lives of physically and mentally disabled children, adolescents and adults in Bali, Indonesia
Set up in 1998, the foundation seeks to provide disabled Balinese people with the opportunity to be educated, to learn a trade and to access all the necessary items they require in order to lead a fulfilling life.
From assisting in medical care by providing medicines, physiotherapy and surgical operations, to transporting handicapped children to school, providing wheelchairs, physical aids and the adaptation of facilities, the foundation focuses on helping disabled people to become more independent.

Mayan Families
Established in 2005, Mayan families is an organisation which operates a variety of programs to support and empower the indigenous communities of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
In an area where challenges faced include poverty, malnutrition, malaria, violence and poor education the foundation seeks to provide the communities with the tools required to build a sustainable future.
Through the provision of basic health care, access to clean water and sanitation, shelter, food donations and sponsored education programs, the foundation focuses on helping the communities establish a positive way of life, and develop long term, sustainable solutions for the future.

Tenovus Cancer Care
Tenovus Cancer Care is a charity based in Wales that brings treatment, support, information and advice to those affected by Cancer.
Established in 1943 by ten businessmen, Tenovus initially funded a wide range of local projects which ranged from building Sunshine House for Blind Babies just outside Cardiff to donating a washing machine to a widow with seven children who had lost an arm.
In the 1960s the group turned their focus to cancer research and built the Tenovus Institute for Cancer Research in Cardiff which carried out vital research into the causes of Cancer.
Since that day, the charity has been commended for its pioneering work into cancer research and the provision of cancer support services to cancer patients and their families.

Soi Dog Foundation
The award winning Soi Dog Foundation is the largest animal welfare organisation in Asia. Based in Phuket, Thailand the charity works tirelessly to improve the welfare of dogs and cats in Thailand, rescuing abandoned and stray animals and providing shelter, food and veterinary care.
Founded in 2003, the charity has provided help for thousands of abused and neglected street dogs and cats often found malnourished and suffering in appalling conditions. They run a shelter and re-homing centre for over 400 dogs and their effective sterilization programme has dramatically reduced the number of unwanted dogs and cats.
The charity also actively fight to stop the illegal dog meat trade, rescuing dogs that have been captured for this purpose and re-homing them in one of their shelters, providing safety and emergency medical care.

Llys Nini RSPCA
RSPCA Llys Nini was established by animal loving volunteers in the Swansea and Neath area of South Wales with an aim to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome abused and unwanted animals. The company is committed to helping animals across the region and rehomes over 800 animals a year providing continued support for new owners and subsidised vet treatment for the pets of people on low incomes. They raise funds to support their good work through fundraising activities and via their 12 charity shops.
At Something Different we collaborated with Llys Nini RSPCA to develop and launch a stunning giftware range in 2018 which is aptly called 'Paws and Claws'. Designed with cat and dog lovers in mind, the collection is part of our contemporary wholesale collection and features adorable designs with bold patterns and fun sayings. Following the launch of this collection, proceeds from the sales were donated to Llys Nini to help the shelter continue their great work of caring for animals.
