Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Engineer to join our impactful IT team. In this role, you will be a key player in optimizing our data flows, automating processes, and improving overall efficiency. You will be responsible for integrating our ERP system with other platforms, including CRM and sales systems, ensuring data accuracy and reliability across the board. You will be passionate about AI and how we can leverage this in the business with integrations and data for advanced reporting and time/cost saving efficiencies. What You Will Do:
• Become our Data Integration Expert:
Design, implement, and optimize data flows between our ERP system and other business platforms, such as our CRM, sales system, and e-commerce platforms.
• Streamline Our Operations:
Integrate data from various sources, including bespoke & SQL databases, external APIs, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
• Unlock the Power of Automation:
Research and evaluate new data platforms and automation tools to identify solutions that meet our evolving business needs.
• Drive Continual Improvement:
Support our company's growth by providing data-driven insights and reports to inform strategic decision-making.
• Eliminate Manual Processes:
Write code and scripts to support the IT department in automating tasks and processes, such as order processing, data entry, and report generation.
• Empower Our Teams with Data:
Collaborate with different departments to create internal reports and dashboards using Power BI, providing them with the information they need to excel.
• Connect Our Systems:
Develop and maintain a number of connections including, API connections, SQL, sFTP and CSV, XML integration to facilitate seamless data exchange between our ERP, CRM, sales system, and other critical platforms.
Essential Skills:
- 1+ year or experience in automation, data, or related field
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python
- Experience with API integrations
- Experience with cloud automation platforms (e.g., Zapier, Make)
- A keen interest and passion for AI and technology
Personal Skills:
- A problem-solving mindset, being solutions-driven and able to investigate problems to find the root cause.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to make confident decisions
Desirable:
- Experience with PowerBI
- Experience with Standard ERP
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms and integrations.
- Familiarity with data warehousing principles.
Hours / Working Pattern / Term:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:30 hrs
- Permanent
- Office based role
